We booked Captain Perry as our guide for the day we arrived in Roatan off of our cruise ship. We were picked up quickly and driven about an hour away to meet Perry for a wonderful experience. He was an excellent guide. Lunch was delicious made by his wife! We had a downpour and Perry was more than willing to wait for the storm to subside in a covered area. He is a fourth generation Honduras resident who offered a wealth of knowledge. Best activity on our cruise. Thank you Perry and wife!

Perry is the best! This is my second time fishing with Roatán on the fly. High tides made it a challenge to find the fish, but Perry worked so hard and gave us opportunities to catch permit, bone fish and tarpon. We will definitely be back to fish with Perry. We will see you soon my friend!

I have fished with fly fishing guide Perry Cooper for the past 10 years. After travelling to many places (Aitutaki, Cook Islands; Punta Gorda and Turneffe Atoll, Belize: Long Island, Bahamas; Biscayne Bay, Florida, etc) and fishing with numerous guides over the past 15 plus years I'd say Perry is at the top of the list of guides I've fished with. If you are prepared and conducted some research about Roatan/Guanaja flats and flies, have taken casting lessons, and eliminate your inclination to trout/rod set, you will catch fish. And maybe you'll even land a Permit or two. Nowadays it is difficult to find above and beyond, top tier service for anything and Roatan on the Fly is indeed one of these few gems.

Highly recommend. I had never fly fished before and Perry was super patient and hard working to put me on some fish. This was my favorite part of my vacation to Roatan. Driver to and from West End to Oak Ridge was right on time and very friendly to talk to.

We had a great day with Perry. The conditions were a lot tough but he still put us on the fish and had great shots at permit and bones. Luckily we’re able to get a couple to hand! Perry was super accommodating to our schedule and even arranged a ride for us to meet him on the dock. Would definitely book again next time we are on the island!

Roatan on the fly was a amazing experience. In fact after my day of fishing with Perry I booked another trip 2 days later. His wife makes the most amazing breakfast / lunch that adds to the amazing experience. Perry’s knowledge of the fishing and area is outstanding. Traveling through the mangroves, community's and open water is a experience itself without even making a cast. Perry crossed off a bucket list for me by putting me on my first tarpon. I hooked several fish but was only able to land the small ones. My next trip to the island will involve a phone call to Roatan on the fly to book another trip.

First time to Roatan back in 2019 staying at the beautiful Villas Del Mar with host Phil highly recommended Captain Perry for salt flats fishing. We went out for a full day and hooked into some amazing Permit and missed a ton more opportunities for the elusive BoneFish and some jacks. Cptn Perry has the eyes of an eagle and provides fantastic direction looking for nervous water/sight fishing, casting direction and stripping technique to set the hook! There’s nothing more exciting than seeing these fish feeding in the flats with tails in the air, or cruising the shallows looking for sand plumes and then feeling the adrenaline rush as you cast their way. Highly recommend to grab a local sun shirt and wear polarized sunglasses and good sandals for walking in the flats. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we ended up buying salt water fly and tackle setups back in Canada and can’t wait to head back down to Roatan and fish with Captain Perry and his team! Thanks again for the great memories and will see you guys soon!
